This is a great way to see the harbor and houses around Newport. We were worried about it being too cool this time of year, but there are enclosed areas and it wasn't an issue at all. You get a Mimosa in hand when you walk on board - great way to start! Narration was entertaining and informative. Our son is in a large power wheelchair so it can be a challenge to find true wheelchair accessibility. This was great! On our wedding weekend, we charted the Coastal Queen for an hour-long reception cruise around the harbor. The staff were attentive, friendly, and professional. They helped get our party aboard and took us to some nice photo opportunities near the rocks and under the bridge. For a group of about 40, we didn't feel cramped in the slightest. Great excursion to take a tour of Newport and all it’s history. Staff are very nice and knowledgeable. The ship itself is clean and comfortable. There are plenty of seats inside as well as outside. We chose the Mimosa tour and it exceeded our expectations. Buying tickets online was a breeze, as was the check-in. Captain and crew were professional. Brian who narrated our tour answered questions with great detail and enthusiasm. The skies opened up before we left the dock. What a great harbor cruise! My family and I typically take one of the other boats but discovered the Coastal Queen after our last cruise had been canceled due to a breakdown. We actually enjoyed the Queen much more as it has ample indoor and outdoor seating as well as a bar and normal bathrooms.
